Task 3 – Light Painting

My light painting project, made using a strip of LED lights flashing rapidly between red, green and blue at seizure-inducing speeds. The first image – affectionally naming it The Curtain – was shot with a 10 second shutter speed. The second – The Mass – was at 20 seconds. Couldn’t decide which one I liked more so I just uploaded both.

10/17 Lab – Project Editting

This time, I actually edited one of the photos I took for my project, playing around with black and white mixed with color. It helped me understand the changes in tone that occur when you remove the color from a shot, and it’ll definitely help me zero in on a good look for my project.

10/12 – Continued Photoshop Practice

Using the same stock RAW from before, I played around a bit more with color editing and layering, this time incorporating some stock images from the internet and a cutout of the King of Sweden holding a rifle, creating this image of a foggy, cold urban hunt. I also used the burn and dodge tools to add some simple shadows to the deer and His Majesty.
