About Us
What is Wellness?
There are many different definitions of health and wellness. As a foundation for the Be Well program, the definitions that guides our practices are:
- “Wellness is an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices towards, a more successful existence.” (National Wellness Institute)
- “Wellness is a multidimensional state of being describing the existence of positive health in an individual as exemplified by quality of life and a sense of well-being.” (Charles Corbin)
