The amnesia evaluation application is an important development in the medical field. In fact, it could end up becoming one of the leading treatments for amnesia due to its accessibility and low cost. A great number of people are affected by memory loss, and being able to assess the progression and severity of amnesia is critical to ensure the health and safety of everyone. The design discussed involves the creation of an app that will ask questions towards individuals that may suffer from memory loss; from there the app will assess the accuracy of their answers and predict what type of memory loss may be inflicting on the patient. The results will also be forwarded to a physician who can interpret the results.

There are three different types of amnesia including retrograde amnesia which is the loss of recently formed memories, anterograde amnesia in which there is no formation of new memories, and transient global amnesia meaning repeated behavior, loss of memories of certain events. These types of amnesia will be predicted through the app, where the individual will be required to read five minutes of a news article and an AI will generate questions according to the topic of the news article. Then during certain times of the day, the individual will be asked to answer those questions. This prediction will be a time-saver for medical professionals, it will give them a good prediction of what memory loss the patient has and narrow down what they need to do further to help the patient.

We can create an environment for amnesia patients to spend less and get better results through something that may seem as trivial as a phone app. Using this app will not only free up human resources but will lessen the ominous stigma that surrounds amnesia.
