The user should not be forced into completing a check-in immediately if they are not ready to; the user should be allowed time to find a quiet and/or comfortable place so they can focus. As stated before, the application should not allow for the user to get distracted, so it will open up the daily check-in on the first or second screen. However, there will be an option to pause the check-in if the user is in an area that does not allow them to focus. Should the user be at home, they could simply go through the check-in as normal if they like. Conversely, if the user is in a place that requires their attention, such as a class, the user should be able to silence the notifications and complete the check-in at a later time. This is a key feature due to the fact that memory training requires the user’s undivided attention. It is much easier for a person to recall things if they are in an environment that does not present the opportunity for them to be distracted. On the other hand, a person who is in a place that is too quiet can present complications as well, for they may feel pressured to get the answers right and may end up forgetting that this is really to train their memory.
