How does diagnosis work?: After it is suspected several ECG tests are done over a period of days or weeks or patients may have to wear a holter monitor, and a Medical History & Physical Exam are performed. Patients are asked about symptoms of an abnormal heart rhythm & whether patient’s family has any history of LQTS and what other prescribed medicines they take. Knowledge of Inherited LQTS will help the patient and their doctor plan their treatment & decide which lifestyle changes the patient should make.
