Final Project: Fragments
What am I made of?
From a biological point of view, I am constituted by cell. But it as same as all of humans in the world.
What make me to be me?
My name?
If I’m in a totally strange environment, nobody know my past and who I am, am I still the one I used to be?
My body?
If I have been smashed and rebuilt, am I still the one I used to be?
My brain?
If I been vegetative states, and my brain didn’t working at that time; or my brain damaged, and I forgot all of the things about my life, am I still the one I used to be?
My soul?
For me, the soul is the typical part in my deep brain, which makes me different from animals. Or to say, my soul is my personality. But how do I know my soul is existing? How do I know what am I believing or thinking right now is not as a program as the robot, it existed there before I was born.
Therefore, In my final project, I’m going to make several pieces with different medium(photography, painting, sculptures, etc.). Each piece can represent one typical part of me, which made me to be me. It will be an abstract project based on human body structures and psychological theory.
Here are some examples I made:
A Butterfly Living Inside. Ink Painting.
Universe and Thorax. Ink Painting.
HEART&heart.
