I wanted to do a piece on sleep paralysis, which is something I’ve always been fascinated by (explained deeper in my Science of Sleep post). Keeping it digital, I decided to do an animation of someone sleeping. Though this isn’t what I’ve experienced personally, I know that most people associate sleep paralysis with something scary and seeing demons. I drew it out in a more cute-sy style, not to take away the serious fear that someone can feel during an episode (mainly because I can’t do realistic drawings). The gif depicts someone’s “conscious” waking up and realizing the current situation, but being unable to physically move.
