- Main responsibilities:
- Help the evolve the newly restructured group into a research laboratory to help advance the team into an expert technical lab among the pigment industry
- Effect pigments are pearlescent specialty pigments used in car paint, cosmetics and plastics to add visual appeal
- The effect pigments generate color and luster from physical optical phenomenon rather than normal pigments using chemical absorption of light
- The effect pigments have a complicated multiangle color characterization
- Help start characterizing the pigments for color tolerances
- Study the material characteristics of the pigments with advance techniques in optical microscopy and SEM
