Currently, I am working in Dr. Donghui Zhu’s laboratory (the Engineering-Meets-Medicine Laboratory) on a project investigating the impact of different cation (magnesium, iron, and zinc) concentrations on the tissue growth and angiogenesis in the chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) of chicken embryos. I work in a supporting role to Ph.D. student Sai Sreenivasamurthy, where I assist in preparing serial dilutions of the cation solutions, administering solutions to eggs, cell culture preparations forĀ in vitro verification, as well as H&E staining and imaging.
Beyond the Fall 2021 semester, I would like to pursue further research in regenerative medicine and biomaterials. I would love to develop a biomaterial that can help someone overcome a serious injury, such as a severe burn wound or a traumatic internal bleeding injury.
