“Seeing” the Literary Text through Voyant: Digital Tools in Literary Translation by Clorinda Donato (CSU Long Beach) on Mon. Feb. 3 at 4 PM

Clorinda Donato (CSU Long Beach) explores how tools like “Voyant” improve literary translation by analyzing and interpreting texts. She will share with us her course, “Literary Translation in Transit,” featuring student work from Chinese, French, German, Japanese, and Russian. She will also present a case study of Ubah Cristina Ali Farah’s novel, comparing French and English translations. The lecture will be held in the MIC room, SBS S-147.

Overnight Access to the Melville Library

Starting Monday, January 27, 2025 at midnight, access to the library between midnight and 7 AM will require a valid school ID. Your ID can be used on the sensors located at the entrances to the Melville Library. This policy aims to maintain the library as a dedicated space for academic study during late-night hours while protecting our campus community.
