Zoom Cloud Recording Retention
Starting next week on June 1st, 2021, Zoom cloud recordings older than 180 days will automatically be deleted and sent to a trash folder. Please start reviewing and downloading recordings you wish to keep. At the same time if you have recordings that you no longer need, please delete them from the Zoom Cloud Storage.

The Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC) located at Stony Brook University has announced their Advanced Energy Conference 2021 will be held on June 9 & 10, 2021, as a precursor to the in-person event scheduled at the NYC Marriott Marquis in the fall of 2022. The structure of this two-day virtual gathering of renowned leaders in the advanced energy field will be to lead the discussion on the future of energy. Registration is open. There is no cost for this event.
TBI Virtual Seminar: “Bonewalks” and other standardized methods for documenting fossil assemblages in the Turkana Basin
Thursday, 5/27 at 11:00 am
Prof. K. Behrensmeyer, Research Curator and Senior Scientist in the Department of Paleobiology at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, will present examples from 50 years of standardized fossil surveys in the Turkana Basin to show how this approach to fossil documentation and collecting reduces sampling biases and enhances knowledge of the taxonomic diversity, taphonomy and paleoecology of the vertebrate faunas.

10. Research (Studies, Testing, etc…)Volunteers with Schizophrenia Needed for Brain Imaging Research Study at Stony Brook Medicine
We are looking for volunteers ages 18-65 with a diagnosis or symptoms of schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder to participate in brain imaging research studies (PET and/or MRI) to better understand brain function. The study involves up to 3 visits in a 1-week period, confidential interviews, a physical exam with blood/urine collection and an ECG. You will be compensated $30 for the physical exam and up to $50 for interviews. To learn more about our research, please contact (631) 495-5441.

The Institute for Advanced Computational Science at Stony Brook University is offering a 10-day online programming workshop for high school students who will be juniors or seniors in the fall of 2021. Students must be 15 years old or older by the time of the camp. This hands-on camp introduces students to the programming skills and software/computer technologies that drive advances in science, industry, business and society.
