Discontinuation of Research Central Travel Account

The Research Central Travel Account (CTA), used to pay for tickets arranged though Euro Lloyd, was discontinued on September 30, 2022. In order to avoid out-of-pocket expenses, CTA users are strongly encouraged to apply for the new RF Credit Card. Travelers will need to pay out of pocket and submit for reimbursement if an RF Credit Card is not obtained. Please note, RF Credit Cardholders may use their cards for non-employee travel needs.

“Japanese Poetry in the Digital Age” by Andrew Campana

In this talk, we will explore how poets in Japan grappled with digital media from its early days to the present, touching on poetry’s relationship to computing, the internet, social media, video games, augmented reality, and more. We will see not only how “new media” affected how poetry was made, but the other way around as well—in other words, how poets used their work to rethink “the digital” itself anew.

Volunteers with Schizophrenia Needed for Brain Imaging Research Study at Stony Brook Medicine

We are looking for volunteers aged 18-65 with a diagnosis or symptoms of schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder to participate in brain imaging research studies (PET and/or MRI) to better understand brain function. The study involves up to 3 visits, confidential interviews, a physical exam with blood/urine collection and an ECG. You will be compensated $30 for the physical exam and up to $50 for interviews.
