Mirrors and Masks

My narrative is about the struggles many people (specifically women in my photos) go through in the morning while preparing for the day. Waking up to look in the mirror and find every flaw until you want to just put on a mask using make up and smiles so no one knows the struggles occurring beneath the surface. Social media has made it so many feel the need to always look perfect and change themselves.

Looking in the mirror just to inspect flaws and wish to look different.

Using makeup to make the changes desired to feel pretty and up to the beauty standard.

Plastering on a smile to been seen as happy and perfect while there are different emotions lingering beneath the surface.
