Project 5: Perception Studies

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a condition in which the optic nerve is damaged, which causes an abnormally high pressure in the eye. this pressure can eventually lead to blindness but first has symptoms such as blurriness, tunnel vision, patchy blind spots in your peripheral vision, and more. It is one of the leading causes of blindness in people over 60, but it can also occur at any age so it is important to get checked.

Vision is very skewed in people with Glaucoma and it can become difficult to navigate through daily life. I choose to show how this blurriness and blind spots can create problems for simple daily activities such as hanging out with friends or going on a walk.
