Plants are important. We value them because they give us air, food, and shelter. We talk about whether we should save them, how we should “Go Green”. But what if we did not need them in the future? We discover how to make air, engineer our food, and build everything out of synthetic materials. From our perspective now this could seem wrong and unnatural, though one day it might be the only right way, the only natural way.

But while plants may no longer exist, that does not mean they will be forgotten. Someone, an artist, will be inspired by this distant memory and try to recreate it. They will take the technology they have and they will make it what they consider to be beautiful. Plants may die but artists never will.
