1. Prick finger with lancet
2. Place droplet of blood on test strip
3. Record glucose levels from test strip

Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems

A sensor connected to a transmitter is inserted into fatty tissue and continuously records glucose levels. The data recorded from the sensor is transmitted by the transmitter to a display, often an application on the patients phone. [37]
