For my final photography project, I really want to focus on developing my own style. It’s something I have been working on for about a year now and this class has really allowed me to come into my own and I want to further that development with a formalized jump into this project. I’ve come to realize that I really like high contrasted photos with a lot of rich and deep colors as well as an emphasis on shadows and minimalism. I’m strongly considering taking a crack at some night photography of maybe some neon signs or long exposures of car headlights/taillights as they drive by. I follow quite a lot of photographers on Instagram and I’ve been compiling ideas on photos I would like to attempt to emulate. Many of the photos I am absolutely in love with have such rich contrast and color and I really want to bring that into my own work. For many years, I’ve been into undersaturation but as I grow I am realizing that this is not as pleasing to my eyes as it used to be.

Here are some examples of work I would possibly attempt to emulate from @olivertakac on Instagram
