Education

Bachelor in the Arts, with a major in Philosophy: Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY: Expected Grad: 2015: Philosophy was where I really began develop an interest in my course work. I had finally found a topic that I was deeply interested in. It helped me in more than one way. I felt by the time I had changed my major to philosophy I had finally found myself and as a result I made a better choice as to what I really wanted to learn in my future. Philosophy wasn’t a major that just dealt with theory it also had a scientific side and a mathematical side. I found this to be exactly what I needed. I realized that I wasn’t deeply interested in math and science I liked theory and the analytics behind it. Many philosophers were also scientists as well as mathematicians. They also had many interesting arguments as to what the soul was the body and of God. Religion was a very big topic even in Greek times. It is a field that I really enjoy and I’m glad to be a philosophy major.

Bachelor in Science Biology: Nassau Community College, Garden City, NY: (2010-2012): I felt that when going into college I had to have a degree. I had a doctor in my family and I had a particular interest in the human body so I decided that it would be good to go into Biology. I did learn quite a bit from the biology courses that I took and many of the other classes that I took while I was a biology major. I learned that organization is key.It is so important to organize my time so that all aspects of my life can flow properly. I always use to have my papers everywhere and when it came to lab reports that was a bad idea. Misplacing information can be the difference between an A and a C in class. Also it allows you to work faster. I began gathering folders to keep and organizers so that I could keep all my notes in each class. This was the major that toughened me up. Biology is a serious field that I have a healthy respect for. There were so many mistakes I made when it came to my approach to course work that biology would not allow me to make and in that respect it helped me for my future course work.
