The Hudson River and Long Island Sound are lifelines for Long Island communities, offering vital ecological, economic, and recreational benefits. To celebrate these waterways and their significance, Chen Lab members –  AJ, Anh, Stephanie, Xiangyan, and Yunzhou – hosted an engaging outreach event at the Long Island Aquarium.

Visitors of all ages had the opportunity to learn about local fish and crustaceans through interactive demonstrations and hands-on experience, fostering a deeper appreciation for the incredible biodiversity in local ecosystems.
