visit Temple University

Tom, Sam and I visited our collaborator – Vaibhav, Pratip and Spiridoula – in Temple University on 2021/05/26.

The trip went well and I also successfully get up at 5AM in the morning! But it is definitely worth it because it was clearly a good idea to pass the New York City before the rush hours! Also on our way back to Long Island, the weather changes from a sunny day to pouring! And this all happened while I fall asleep on the way back so I am frightened! The instance that I woke up I was suspecting that our car has entered another world! It is great that it is not the case because we just got such a nice conversation with our collaborators!

The green tea at Saxbys tastes pretty good. The food truck here at Temple is awesome! The food truck here at Temple is awesome! The food truck here at Temple is awesome! How could we don’t have them in Stony Brook!!

It is always good to talk. And even online meetings are in general very efficient, meeting in person is still very appealing to me. And you will never know when your coworkers gets to work! (While we were discussing the results, our colleague Yusong also replied to our emails while he is taking a road trip after his recent graduation ceremony! How much do you like to work with us, Yusong!?)

By the end is the picture at Temple University. From left to right are: Vaibhav, me, Pratip, Spiridoula, Tom and Sam. Oh what a nice day!

  1. It’s nice that you all participate in one collaboration and can meet in person to discuss some things. In my uni, we also have different projects, and sometimes we have to work together with students from other universities. Some time ago, all the meetings we had were online, but the last few times we met offline, and can say such meetings are so productive. Since February, I’ve been working on one project; it’s about critical thinking and will include lectures, q/a sessions, and written informational papers. Now I’m working on a paper, and I found one site which provides free essay on critical thinking, and those examples were so helpful for me because I finally decided what is the best to include. After I finish writing, we will have one more meeting with students of uni in Chicago and will think about lectures and the structure. And I’m happy to have a chance to meet everyone offline!
