I am a medically retired US Army Combat Veteran currently pursuing a second bachelor’s Degree at the State University of New York at Stonybrook. I have been granted the unique opportunity to pursue a double major in studio art and Media, Art & Culture. I am a non-traditional commuter student and am deeply passionate about three things: God, love and the insanity of humanity. I firmly believe in the adage that if you really want to do something, you will find a way. If you don’t you will find an excuse. I am happy to be among so many young, gifted minds and even more excited to be taught by so many seasoned artists.
As of 3 February 2024, I’m tip toeing into my second semester at Stonybrook. I’ve found I love to create things with my hands. I am not a skilled artist by any means, but I love what I have created at SBU so far and am looking forward to applying what I learn at the university in my own art and in an art therapy practice I aspire to build.
