Final Project

My final project was inspired by the explosive use of face masks all over the world due to Covid-19. From masks made of cloth to fashionable masks with colorful patterns, a majority of people are sporting this piece of clothing not only to protect themselves but also as a fashion statement. Seeing masks in various advertisements as well as seeing my mom wear a mask to work everyday has gradually made me more accustomed to this new way of life. In addition, I wanted to experiment with the face distortion feature on Spark Ar again and see how I could completely change the models’ appearances. I used the distortion and retouching options, as well as a mask, on Spark Ar in order to change the shape and skin tone of the models’ faces. I found a tutorial for the distortion and retouching functions and followed along using three ethically diverse models. I also added three differently styled face masks to represent the large diversity of masks available for people everywhere.
