Metformin- lowers glucose production in the liver and helps body uses insulin more effectively .Nausea and diarrhea are possible side effects of metformin.
Sulfonylureas – group of medications that help your body secrete more insulin. These include glyburide (DiaBeta), glipizide (Glucotrol) and glimepiride (Amaryl). Side effects include low blood sugar and weight gain.
Insulin treatment is also used for people with type 2 diabetes. Normally it is used for type one diabetes but it is also common to be used for type 2 diabetes after time. Insulin side effects include: shakiness, sweating, pale skin, an increased heart rate, blurry vision, and or tiredness.[6]
