Type II Diabetes is the most common form of diabetes. All forms of diabetes are concerned with the production of insulin and the effects this will have on the glucose levels one will receive. Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas and it allows glucose to be processed in the body.[1]
Type II Diabetes is when a person not producing as much insulin as they should. This leads to glucose levels rising, which is harmful to one’s health. High glucose levels lead to heart disease, vision loss, and is really dangerous to the liver organ as one of it’s function is storing glucose. That is why it is important for one with Type II Diabetes to track their glucose levels with CGM devices. [3]
Over 34 million Americans have Type II Diabetes, and diabetes is the 7th leading cause of death. It is important to come up with novel methods of diabetes treatment and diagnosis. [2]
