Experience and Qualifications

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

  • Physics Department, Binghamton University
    • Collaborate with Global Foundries to investigate the development of fatigue in annealed through-silicon-vias
    • Study the effects of substrate strain on ferroelectric bismuth ferrite using second-harmonic generation to detect crystal structure and polarization direction
    • Operate Ti-sapphire femtosecond pulse laser and aligned optics to perform experiments including tomography, waveguide fabrication, interferometry, Raman spectroscopy and second-harmonic generation
    • Analyze acquired data using Mathematica and Python with collaborating lab members by fitting experimental polar plots to 5 ferroelectric point group susceptibility tensors
  • Freshman Research Immersion Program
    • Conducted interdisciplinary (Physics, Chemistry, and Materials Science) independent group research toward the creation of a novel transparent and flexible p-n junction
    • Investigated semiconducting materials for use in transparent and flexible p-n junctions for research proposal, collaborating with 3 other team members
    • Utilized probe stations, spin coating, UV/Vis spectroscopy, hall station, and XRD characterization techniques

MEDICAL PHYSICS EXPERIENCE
