Cosmic Microwave Background

Stony Brook cosmologists are active in both theoretical and experimental cosmic microwave background (CMB) physics. Stony Brook faculty play leading roles in the Atacama Cosmology Telescope, the South Pole Telescope, the Simons Observatory, and the proposed CMB-S4 and CMB-HD experiments.

Dark Energy

Stony Brook cosmologists are active in trying to learn about dark energy from the cosmic microwave background, galaxy and cluster surveys, and weak gravitational lensing.
