Title:

“Planetary Dissection”

Synopsis:

Celestial bodies, such as our planet Earth, Jupiter and our own moon, are fascinating objects in the solar system that many people do not understand the inner workings of.  By using seismographs on Earth and Mars, and space probes to monitor the outer planets of our solar system, scientists have a good understanding about the interior of a planet.

Objective:

To use graphics, video, and animation to illustrate the cross-sections of different celestial bodies and details that are interesting or relevant to those celestial bodies. Audio will provide sound effects and background music. 3D animation will be made using Blender to model and manipulate the planets.

Audience:

The expected audience will be students, with an age range from high school juniors, to college students studying astronomy.
