My name is Dan Olawski and I’m the Communications Specialist for the Department of Computer Science and the AI Institute. I’m taking this photography class to enhance my skills, as I am responsible for taking photos for the department Website, stories, social media and more. I’ve always loved photography, but have never taken a structured class and I look forward to learning a lot.

In addition to my work for Computer Science and AI, I also volunteer on campus on the Census 2020 committee. I will also be mentoring a student this semester. I love being a part of this campus and hope to be here for a very long time.

Away from work, I do a lot of volunteering for local autism charities and organizations. This is inspired by my son, who has autism. Nothing feels better than helping out the autism community and seeing the smiles on all of the children’s faces.
