The theme I chose for my midterm assignment was social justice, focusing on Black Lives Matter. In 20 years from now, I would like if racism was over. Unfortunately, I do not think we as a human race can achieve that in two decades, because we are still struggling with it today. My hopes are that if overcoming racism does not happen within my lifetime, that at least great progress is made in that direction.

My pictures show the struggles and issues in today’s society that Black people face. It is mostly police brutality that is the issue. My pictures show hope for what I would want the future to hold. The main goal is justice and to be treated fairly. I want people viewing my images to feel and understand how Black people feel, and to understand where we hope to go.
