Research Interests

My research seeks to understand how partners in romantic relationships navigate differences in social identity and the unique stressors these identities incur. In particular, my research focuses on how transgender and nonbinary people and their cisgender partners negotiate transition processes (e.g., identity disclosure, gender-affirming care) together. I am further interested in how LGBTQ+ youth and young adults develop healthy relationship skills in the face of stigma and discrimination.
