Research Interests

My research focuses broadly on relationship development in adolescence and emerging adulthood, as well as sexual well-being and communication. I examine relevant relationship processes such as sexual communication, conveying romantic/sexual interest, and engaging in sexual experiences, and assess how these processes effect individuals’ mental health as well as relationship and sexual satisfaction. Secondarily, I am interested in developing relationship education programs and interventions to teach young adults healthy relationship skills early to improve their current and future relationships.
