About Doit Social
EDUCATE
The DoIT Social committee aims to be a vital resource for the Division of Information Technology. Our main mission is to educate ourselves, and the DoIT community about social media, and how best we can use it to our advantage. We achieve this through exploration and experimentation.
EXPLORE
We seek to research social media in the academic space. This includes finding out which segments of our audience seek out information via social media, which platforms our audience uses to consume information via social media, and which platforms make the most sense for DoIT to utilize.
EXPERIMENT
In addition to researching the most effective forms of social media, the DoIT social committee also seeks to promote the experimentation of innovative applications of different social media platforms. Whether it’s for fun or for professional purposes, experimentation is key to discovering new ways to market our services, events and news.
