Backstory/Motivation:
Dan is having issues balancing after tearing his meniscus playing soccer in school. An important part of rehabilitating knee injuries is physical therapy. Dan doesn’t like to go to physical therapy because it is not fun or engaging. This is impeding his rehab process, and might prevent his knee from properly healing.
Frustration:
He doesn’t want to have to set up a smart phone to play the game. Dan doesn’t even have his own smart phone to load the game. He would rather be able to just start the exercise without any set up time.
Ideal Experience:
Dan can use the game to perform the needed exercises and rehab his knee while having fun.

Backstory/Motivation:
Margaret recently suffered from a stroke and is having issues with her legs. She is going to physical therapy to try to regain strength in her legs. The therapist recommends using balance exercises to rehab her loss of strength.
Frustrations:
Margaret doesn’t like to use smart devices as she has a hard time using them. She is also scared she may fall off the board and injure herself further.
Ideal Experience:
Margaret and her therapist work together to ensure she is performing the exercises safely and at the end of her visits, her legs are stronger than they were before.
Persona 3
Name: Joe Cole

Backstory/Motivation:
Joe tore his ACL playing basketball. He has to go to team doctors to rehab his knee. Joe complains that the rehab process is slow and boring and he wants to be more engaged.
Frustration:
The exercise is not challenging enough for Joe. He feels he needs something more advanced since he is a professional athlete.
Ideal Experience:
This application helps Joe in the beginning stages of his rehab before he can move on to more challenging exercises. It can also serve as a warm up exercise when he has healed more and can start training his agility again.
