Jann Stavro, M.S.
Doctoral Student, Biomedical Engineering
Jann joined DRIL in the Fall of 2014 and is currently pursuing a PhD in biomedical engineering with a concentration medical physics. His current research is focused on the design, fabrication and characterization of a novel amorphous Selenium (a-Se) based photon counting detector for energy resolved breast imaging applications. His research also includes the development of comprehensive Monte-Carlo based charge transport models to simulate photon interactions and signal generation processes within the a-Se photoconductor to characterize the photon counting performance of the detector.
