Final Project Proposal (Final Draft)
The Top of the Weapon of Street Art
When the announcement of the final project was out, I indeed had no idea what I want to do for that since there is actually no specific theme or topic fixed for me that means I can do whatever I want to do no matter the quantity and theme. So I left it behind for a while until I came up a “brilliant” concept for the final project when I was doing some street art activity a few weeks ago.
When I tried to take a photo of the top of a spray can and uploaded to Instagram, I occasionally felt that there was an abstract beauty in that thing. So I decided to use my camera to take photo of each of the top of the spray I have at the time, and then I made those abstract photos into one image with Photoshop. It is more like the first project I did as the photographic narrative sequence.
And I do this perhaps because I like some kind of symmetric shape images, like this photo as it contains the circles subject matter. As I say, I did not think so much as a deep meaning for the project since it might be the abstract work started with a significant gear of street art. I would say this gear is pretty much like a soul of street art (graffiti art) as a “wizard wand” to create great art. Therefore, I think this is very symbolic and important for producing street art in fact. So I want to capture this.
