Intern at SunQuest Pharmaceuticals in Syosset, NY-Summer 2014
- Conducted Literature research on the medications used in the company to provide information for the company website
- Maintained prescription files, reviewed insurance reimbursement, and coordinated delivery of medication
- Assisted pharmacists in preparation of the various compounded medications
Previous Projects
Seating Device for Individuals with Disorders Affecting Movement (Union College, Winter 2016)
- Consulted with clients from the Center for Disabilities Services in Albany, NY to create an improved dynamic seating device
- Collaborated with team members to design and assemble a seating device for a special needs student who undergoes rigorous self-stimulating movements that remained upright through rocking and absorbed intense bouncing/rocking movements
- Implemented a saddle seat design as a therapeutic to help develop student’s abductor and adductor muscles
- In conjunction with a strong base, the back of the chair was lined with shock absorbers
Toothpaste Dispenser for Arthritic Individuals (Union College, Winter 2016)
- Designed and assembled a toothpaste dispenser that enabled one-handed twist off of the cap, secured toothbrush with bristles facing upward, enabled squeezing of toothpaste directly onto the brush, one-handed return of the cap, and released toothbrush
- Implemented a system of gears, sliding rails, and clamps to fulfill all requirements and allow for one-handed use
