This project is a glimpse into the atmospheres of four decades: the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.  As an artist, I like for my work to reflect my life, and so I’ve geared toward the theme of identity.  I’m turning 21, an age in the midst of self-discovery; whether it be through makeup, clothing, activities, or family & friends, I have developed and conveyed my personality through several respects.  While growing as an individual, it’s interesting to look at photos of my family from early on – this is exactly what my mom and I have been doing recently, and which was a large inspiration for the idea of identity through decades.  The photos below are meant to convey the identities of women of these decades through setting, color, position, and attire.
