Perceptual Influence of ADHD
ADHD is diagnosed primarily in childhood, on the parameters that a child shows 6 or more symptoms of inattention and/or 6 or more symptoms of hyperactivity/impulsitivity, considering their developmental level. Although Oliver Sacks specifically did not research ADHD, his discussions of Autism, the effect of Environmental Risk Factors on neurological disorders, and development of the brain is widely accredited for improving diagnosis and awareness of ADHD.
