Congratulations on your admission to Stony Brook University! To help you prepare for a great first year, we have planned a comprehensive academic advising program to help you in preparation for course schedule planning and registration. Be sure to read through the information in order to be prepared for your first semester! The Modules are mean to be done in order starting with determining the placement exams you’ll need to take.
By completing this Advising program you will:
- Effectively plan and register for a full Fall quarter schedule
- Register for a schedule that is appropriate for the Fall semester
- Understand how to access academic advising
- Be aware of your academic advisor’s role in supporting your success
- Be knowledgeable about department/college-specific resources and strategies for success
