Title: “The Camera Obscura”

Synopsis: Camera Obscura is a term in Latin that translates into English as “Dark Room”, the term relates to a building, somewhat dated in nature, buts luster shines through to this day, The Camera obscura manifests an image of its surroundings by allowing a small hole to cast light into a room, which seems incredible even by modern standards, and serves as some of the earliest visual capturing hardware, that would eventually lead up to the technology we have today, with Digital cameras that have incredible storage and quality.

Objective: Use an array of Graphics and Media to bring the Camera Obscura to life, There will be audio that will narrate over said graphics and give historic information to the audience. A trip to Greenport, Long Island will occur, where Dimensions, images and more metrics from a real life Obscura can be recorded and included.

Audience: This Project will produce a work that will be for young adults and teenagers who have a fascination and appreciation for both historical visuals and physics/optics.
