Parking on Campus
If you’re driving to campus, you can park in the Administration Parking Garage (map) (opposite the Hilton, use the entrance with the ticket machines at the turn-around in front of the Wang Center from Shirley Kenny Drive); or in other lots marked for visitors.
Where to Stay

The Holiday Inn Express on Highway 347 is a few minutes drive away and/or has a free shuttle bus to/from campus.
A bit further afield (about 10-15 minutes drive) is Danfords by the Port Jefferson harbor.
Other options include nearby hotels.

Stony Brook is part of EduRoam. If you don’t have EduRoam, you can connect as needed to the university guest network.
Food
Options on campus include the Hilton, SBU Dining. The hospital (east campus, a few minutes walk) has various options.
There are, of course, various places to eat near campus too.
Out and About
Lots to do on LI: beaches, state parks, historical sites…
NYC (Penn Station) is just under 2 hours from campus by train.
