Where to Stay
| Closest hotel is on campus: Hilton Garden Inn, just a couple of minutes walk from IACS. |  |
2nd best bet is the Holiday Inn Express on highway 347, which is a few minutes drive and/or has a free shuttle bus to/from campus.
A bit further afield (about 10-15 minutes drive) is Danfords by the Port Jefferson harbor.
Other options include nearby hotels.
If you’re driving in each day, you can park in the admin. garage (opposite the Hilton, use the entrance with the ticket machines at the turn-around in front of the Wang Center); or in other lots marked for visitors.
WiFi Network Access for IACS/campus-at-large
Stony Brook is part of EduRoam. If you don’t have EduRoam, you can connect as needed to the university guest network.
Food etc.
Breakfast and lunch will be catered each day. You can let us know of any dietary needs during registration. Coffee/tea/water available in our meeting room.
Food options on campus include the Hilton, SBU Dining. The hospital (east campus, a few minutes walk) has various options.
There are of course various places to eat near campus too.
Out and About
Lots to do on LI: beaches, state parks, historical sites…
NYC (Penn Station) is just under 2 hours from campus by train.
