PechaKucha Presentation

Eliot Porter

Eliot Porter was the first and most influential artist to work with color photography. He was well known for his vibrant images of the natural work with birds and landscapes. His landscape photography showed his love and support for environmental conservation and created the foundation for today’s nature photography. He had initially been photographed in black and white but began as a color photographer in 1939 when he began taking pictures of birds and became the first artist-photographer interested in nature. I really liked his photography because all his photos were virtual stories. They were captured at the perfect moment. I constantly found myself just sitting and admiring his photography. Most impressive, were his photos of bird’s midair, which is a very skilled talent. He captured the birds midair with every detail.
