Eric Brouzes Microfluidics for Quantitative and Genomic Biology
My main motivation is to study tissues at single-cell resolution to characterize and study the impact of tissue heterogeneity in the onset and development of diseases such as cancer. Our approach consists in leveraging our interdisciplinary skills (physics, chemistry, microfluidics, molecular biology, cell biology and genomic technologies) to develop impactful microfluidic technologies for genomic applications, molecular diagnostics and high-throughput screening. In particular, we have been developing novel microfluidic techniques to manipulate single-cells at low and high throughput, and integrating sequencing technologies as read-out to extract genomic information
