The Urgency of Intersectionality

The video I’ve included in this post is a TED Talk by Kimberlé Crenshaw, an intersectional feminist scholar and activist who coined the term intersectionality. Here, Crenshaw articulates the importance of intersectionality in social justice. While Crenshaw utilizes the experiences of the Black community to emphasize how the lack of intersectionality leads communities to fall through the cracks, the overarching message of her TED Talk is applicable to communities across the globe.
