Hi, everyone! I am Xinjie Cao, a third year PHD candidate at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Stony Brook University. I joined Dr. Goldan’s lab in 2019 and I am very lucky to work with this fantastic group for the state-of-the-art positron emission tomography (PET) technology. Before I came here, I didn’t even know what the PET is and have no idea whether it is the real interesting topic for my PhD research. After doing around a half year relative work in Dr. Goldan’s lab as a trainee, I fell in love with this fascinating research field and accepted as a formal group member for further investigation on our innovative PET technology.
My major doctorate research focus on our innovative Prism-PET module characteristic, Prism-PET scanner simulation and performance evaluation, and future real Prism-PET scanner experimental testing and performance evaluation.
