Hi, my name is Zhihang Han. I am a second-year PhD student at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Stony Brook University. I finished my undergraduate study at Shaanxi Normal University. My undergraduate major is physics and I studied fluorescence properties of rare earth and its application on lasers.  After that, I came to Stony Brook University and got my master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2020. During my graduate study, I mainly focused on statistical signal processing algorithms and their application on medical signals.

I am glad to join Prof.Goldan’s Novel Medical Imaging Technologies lab in 2021 as a PhD student. I think the research work here can combine all my previous research experience. Now my work is mainly on testing amorphous selenium detectors. In the future, I will study how to fabricate amorphous selenium detectors and study the potential theory explanation for detectors’ different properties.
