World of Autistic Kids

Autism Spectrum Disorder, commonly referred to as Autism, is a developmental disability that has negative impacts on lots of children worldwide. People who have Autism oftentimes face communicational, social, learning, and behavioral problems. They have different ways of learning, interacting, paying attention, or reacting to things than typical kids.

Behavioral symptoms include inappropriate social interaction, poor eye contact, compulsive behavior, repetitive movements, or persistent repetition of words or actions. Autistic kids might also experience some learning disability or speech delay. The cognitive symptoms include intense interest in a limited number of things, or problems paying attention.

We don’t know the exact cause of Autism but it is believed that both environmental factors and genetic factors can contribute to this disorder. And it is about four times more common among boys than among girls.

Autistic kids often avoid eye contact and are lack response to their name or show no interest in their caregivers.

They prefer to be alone than engaging in social activities with peers.

Repetitions are often observed. They might repeat words or phrases verbatim, or have repetitive movements.

Autistic kids show extremely strong interest in one type of object and often arrange them in a very particular way.
