“November 20th 2018”
“If you want to make more interesting pictures, become a more interesting person.” A quote from Jay Maisel that almost everyone likes, but what is “an interesting picture?” Are photographers’ own styles and emotions still embodied in their pictures when tons of instagram photographers nowadays started to “be interesting” just because that way will gain more followers for them, and in order to take more those so-called cool, but basic pictures? Kinda inspired by The Man with a Movie Camera, this project is just recording one of the mundane days of mine. I do believe one of the very original essence of photography is “to capture.” That’s why we had Eadweard Muybridge’s running horse and Philippe Halsman’s jumping people. So I do just want to use camera to capture one of my days. Plus it will be really funny during the final’s presentation day, when everyone’s talking about their thoughtful designed photographies, and I tell people: “Yea. I just clicked my camera because it’s pretty, and I want to click the camera.
Outcomes:
I will take few pictures during November 20th 2018. Colorwise, I want it to be Wes Anderson feeling.
