New York – The city of Lights

“Wow!! This can’t be Real” That was my reaction when I visited New York City for the first time. The city is full of energy, dynamic and beautiful. It’s not a destination for many people. It’s one of the dreams of their life come true. The city inspires. The iconic architecture is a symbol of excellence and strength. The nightlife is crazy and bold.

When we hear discussions on women empowerment, they tend to be mostly surrounded regarding the topic of men vs women, Why women should “also be” educated as men. The discussions become more centered on proving women are also equal to men and they deserve the same rights as men. Though it is partly true, I believe Men vs Women discussions don’t arise when every human being is treated equally.  As long as the inequalities like rich vs poor, black vs white, etc exist the gender inequality continues to exist. Every individual should be given equal opportunity.  Every individual should be treated equally despite the differences that might arise due to their background or their social status. We should remember that “All of us have various experiences that have a significant effect on who we are. The meaning we create from our experiences shape who we are.  They change the way we think. A new person comes out after we go through the experiences.”
